Cervical Herniated Disc
Herniated vertebral discs are also known as slipped discs or bulging discs. Vertebral discs can prolapsed or rupture into spinal canal causing radiating pain. When this occurs, muscle spasm can be caused due to pressure from coughing, sneezing or other movements.
The nerves in the neck innervate the upper extremities.
This may include:
- Decreased reflexes
- Numbness
- Weakness
- Muscle atrophy of the biceps, triceps and muscles of the forearm and hand
